2018-10-16 - Humans of Northview
by Sally Richardson. Scott and Seta Frantz. Scott was born in Bluffton, IN. Seta was born in Aleppo, Syria, and emigrated from Syria to Columbus, IN at age 7. They have been at Northview for about six years. They live in Fishers and attend the Carmel Campus. Scott and Seta serve together as life group leader/hosts, as Alpha table leaders, with a breakfast team at Brookside, as greeters, and during Good Neighbor Weekends. Seta volunteers “to obey God’s calling on my life. I also love meeting and getting to know people.” Scott says, “Seta volunteers ‘us’ for so many things – and while I can’t say I am always excited about it, or that I actually hear the Holy Spirit calling me to do these things, once I’m actually serving I am SO glad I’m doing it. I never served like this at other churches I attended in the past, and now my Northview experience is different than any other church I’ve ever attended. Northview is like a family where we are all pitching in and helping each other grow. I enjoy doing my part.” Seta adds, “every time I volunteer, to my great surprise, seeing other people grow actually helps me grow. I don’t know why it still surprises me, but it always does.”
